Training

Coffee and Barista training is not just about technique or who have a better technology. Here in Cuppachoice, it is all about the coffee passion and the eagerness to share this knowledge to everyone, one cup at a time. The focus is spread the beautiful journey of the coffee, from bean and all the way to the final cup. Every coffee has its story to tell and it is up to these Barista to interpret them.

Cuppachoice Barista Academy is the ideal training ground for both new and experienced coffee people, to further hone their skills and exchanging new knowledge with one another. Is is a two way communication training system, we don’t TEACH but we SHARE.

We have a fully equipped Coffee Bar that is operationally ready to serve customers who comes in to sample our coffee and another training Bar, that is ever ready for any ‘jamming’ session. There is also a coffee sampling ‘pouring bar’ where we brew coffee with many different brewing equipments.

Our trainers live to tell a success story, having competed in various National Barista Championship or individually organised Coffee challenge and competitions. We have also won some of these competitions, emerging 2nd runner up in both the 2009 and 2010 National editions. Who are more experienced to share a professional Barista Dos and Donts than a competition Barista themselves? Up until today, we are proud to be the only Coffee Academy in Singapore that is the chosen home for Singapore’s top Barista. No other academies come close enough. =)

CUPPACHOICE INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD has been given the honour and responsibility to organised and run a Barista Challenge on behalf of MITR PHOL THAILAND and MAXWILL (ASIA) PTE LTD, in conjunction with MITR PHOL SUGAR Trade Show 2010.

The Trade Show will be held from the 4th to 5th June and the Barista Challenge will be the main focus, from the 4th and finals on the 5th of June.

Two challenge has been contested, the main MITR PHOL BARISTA CHALLENGE and the side event, Nestle Latte Art Challenge.
